I have a 2002 ranger RWD 3.0 4R5 auto trans. I have to replace the rear main oil seal. but when I key in my truck data on various auto parts sites I get two styles. A two piece and a one piece. I didn't know that manufacturers still used the two piece. Anyone got any help here? Thanks

the ear oil seal on my 2004 block was one piece. it was the same on the 93 i had previously.

perhaps it is simply and issue of installation method.... dropping the pan vs removing the flywheel/flexplate?

Bought the Bars rear main sealer. This absolutely works, and mine was leaking bad! I didn't expect any results but this totally stopped the leak. I am not using this as a fix just wanted to buy some time until the weather stabilized so I can change the seal. Thanks
