hello i am going to give my 93 ranger that i got from my dad a tune up. The truck has 235,000 mile and is idling a little rough. I am going to install motorcraft spark plug wires, but need to know what are the best plugs for this engine and should i change the coil. Neither the coil, plug, and plug wires has been changed for a 100,000 mile my dad owned the truck. help is needed. thanks

In my opinion, if it has good spark, don't bother. These coils last a long time.

I suggest you remove those 2 8mm bolts that hold the IAC on. Then clean its shaft with carb cleaner. Leave some solvent inside, cover the ports and whack it repeatedly against your hand so the plunger slides along that shaft, it should make a good thwock sound. Reinstall it, disconnect the Bat- terminal, turn on/off the headlights and reconnect Bat-. That will clear the computer to let it relearn the idle.
