'85 Ranger LWB originally had a 2.8, something like a 17 gal fuel tank.
When it is full it reads full, when it is anywhere else it can say anything else. I might go to the store on E, to the bank on half a tank, drive somewhere else on a quarter and then when I pull into the station on E put 5 gallons in it and we are good to go and back on F. It can lie to you about being on E but when it is empty it won't lie that isn't on E (it won't say it has half a tank when it is empty but it may say you are out when you have half a tank)
It has always been flakey but when I drove it a lot it wasn't a big deal because I could remember when I filled it, now that it isn't my primary it is hard to keep track of it.
I can't find a new sender listed anywhere for anything carbureted. Is there any fixing to these senders and/or a way to adapt something else?
