I like its size. It's not ridiculously huge like the newer F150s. It's capable of hauling everything I need to haul. It's tough and reliable. It's really good looking. It's got a lot of power and is pretty fast for a truck. And it's paid for.

I've always liked mini-trucks and have always had one. They fill that niche where a full size is overkill, and a car won't cut it. It used to be S-10's and Z-71's for me, but I'm a die hard Ford convert these days. They're just built better, and they didn't take any bailout money. BTW, the GM 2.8 was/is THE WORST engine ever produced. I blew up 3 of them in my S-10's then switched to the 4 cyl. which was a much better motor, but not as good as the 2.3 in my opinion.

WHY DO I KEEP BUYING DODGES?!?!?
I like mine because:

-Paid off long ago
-Can do a U-Turn on most streets without an intersection, nimble compared to bigger trucks
-Flex Fuel ($1.58/gallon last fill up, well over 300+ E85 station in MN)
-No damned timing belts
-Same oil filter as the cars I also own (simplifying the stockpile of filters and oil in the shed)
-Legally seats 5 people and has seatbelts for all
-That burble when I let off the gas
-So many made, finding parts in a junkyard is easy*
-With 4.10 gears, freeway driving is right in the power band and zipping along the interstate is fun
-Starts every time I turn the key

*unfortunately, most JY Rangers I find are 4 poppers or 4.0's so anything 3.0 specific can be a bit of a hunt, unless I wander to the Taurus section

Number one is size. I want a new truck; but, all Ford makes are those crazy big things.
Number two is reliability. I have had four Rangers and they all have just been truly great.

Mine also drifts good.
Easy to work on.
I can pull cell Codes with a paperclip.
I like the look of the truck/How she drives.
Great combo of small size+ride height+4x4=I can go places full size trucks can't
