AH....see thats where your wrong! You are over estimating my knowledge. So your knowledge modern radial of tire construction, on a scale of 1-10, is somewhere around 1/2?
.
It's around .5 or maybe .625 out of 10.
" The wheels on the bus go round and round...."
My comment was a tongue in cheek poor attempt of a joke I guess....because
The most used terms today is Belts in the general speaking public when refering to tires around my area.
" A Belt seperated.."
" The Belts broke"
" the tire was so worn the belts are showing"
Chords is a term that I havent heard used around automotive tires "in general" in a very long time.
" The Chords are showing"
" He ripped the chords right outta it"
Or Unless someone is looking up period correct tires on Cokertire.com like myself looking for a vintage style "pie crust" cheater drag slick to go on a 60's style FX Gasser.
Sorry to get OT on your thread..... carry on.
Cheers
