Hey everyone. It appears my low pressure pump seized cuz the wiring from the tank forward melted. I have a high pressure in tank pump from a 96 bronco laying around, and I was just wondering if I could throw that in and leave the one in the frame rail? Or are they gonna fight each other? I know I could just remove the one from the frame rail, but to be honest I'm feeling kinda lazy and pissed off with his thing. Any insight is greatly appreciated:)

From experience of doing things 1/2 ass to save time and money...DON'T!!! either do it right or don't bother with it at all and take it to a shop. You end up spending more money in the long run trying to undo your 1/2 ass repair than you would by doing it right the first time. At the very least if the frame rail pump is in fact bad that should be removed, otherwise you may not get proper fuel flow if any fuel flow at all through the dead pump.

My high pressure in the frame rail is fine. It's the low pressure in the tank that's seized. Just wondering if putting a high pressure in the tank without removing the high pressure in the rail will screw with anything. Having 2 functioning high pressure pumps.

The pump in the frame rail may not be able to handle the higher incoming pressure so it may cause that pump to fail that would be the only thing I'd worry about.

IMO I'd try leaving the frame rail pump. I'm lazy too. But I would carry a piece of high pressure hose and two hose clamps just in case.
