I wanted to post this info here so that it would be easier for someone to find it in the future.
I used an ECHO spring. It worked perfectly on my Dana 35. Others have used the same spring with the same success.
The ECHO spring part # is 69621655730.
Any lawn shop that carries ECHO will be able to get this for you. You can click the link below to find your nearest Echo dealer.

The cost from an ECHO dealer is about $5 + tax.
It is hard to get over the splines of the axle shaft, but once you do it works great. The boot will fit over the spring. Get yourself 2 hose clamps to hold the boot on once you put it back as you will destroy the factory retainers getting the boot off.
