Hey guys, this is the first time I've posted pictures here of my truck. The last time I drove it was March 08', before it rolled into my high school bodyshop, it wasn't looking pretty, at all, and when I look back at it (as most of us do) I think "what the hell was I thinking".

**eewwwww**

As of this Thursday she is on the way home for some more disassembling:

**the need for wheels and suspension before driving it becomes overwhelmingly obvious here**

**this fender lip was rusted through, replaced once, warped then replaced a 2nd time, replacing 25% of the entire bedside. Now flawless**

**the windshield sills on both sides were rusted right through, they welded in new inner and outer sills and bracing**

And the teaser for this summer/fall (if you know what they're for it'll make sense):

Thanks for looking guys, plenty of pics and progress to come, including wheels, drop, brakes, motor, audio/video . . .

**Update - 18" x 9/10" FR500's, 3/5 drop and 4-wheel Cobra brakes will be put on before driving**

Going for solid white?
I notice the painted grill, and painted door latch in one picture.

I REALLY wish my high school had a body shop. I took 3 years of the auto shop, but I would have taken a body shop in a second if it were available!

Is the tranny and computer for a 5.0L swap??

EDIT: You did a good job shaving the tailgate latch/ handle too!

I'll be breaking it up with black trim (the door handles along with other misc. trim will be repainted to black) and 18x9/10" FR500 in silver or anthracite with a chrome lip should give it the look I'm after. I did 90% of the body work and some prep at school but after I graduated last year I had a friend finish up the work and spray it at a local body shop, I didn't have time to finish it at school last year and the paint booth there wouldn't have gave a nice of outcome as I have now. Yep, 306 and T-5 . . . should be fun.

looks nice!! i wish i could fix the dents and scratches inn my truck by myself, i think is cool to work on my onw truck's body :D
Thanks man, definitely a lot of pride in working on your own truck but a lot of people don't have the space/time/tools unfortunately. I was fortunate to go to a very technical school and have a great body shop to finish it with great results.

the t5 can only mean one thing :D 5.0!
Busted!

Thanks man, watch for progress pics!

looks great :icon_thumby:
Thanks!

That will look great with the wheels and drop.
Thanks Teddy, I sure hope so. Or you could just ship your truck over here and you can have mine, another 3rd Gen to 5.0 swap . . . lol.

Thanks for all the comments guys, I'll keep this thread updated as more gets done.

Well a little progress lately, as of last night, what could it be . . . ?

A blueprinted, balanced and assembled 306 shortblock. Forged pistons, Ford Racing lifters, ARP bottom end with girdle, E-303 cam (soon to be replaced) with balanced and .20 over long rods and .20 over crank to 10,000RPM and half filled (cemented). I was told it was a Mexican block, not sure about that so I'll have to research but if so, wicked.

85,000km block (like 40,000 miles) with 0k on the rebuild and got it for about 1/2 the price to build it. So much for the Cougar 5.0 I bought . . .

Thanks for looking/reading.
