Hey everyone, I'm new to the forum, but I have been using your resources for general repairs on my cousin's 03 Ranger for about two years now. Its been so helpful I haven't once had to make a post of my own, search is my friend... But now I'm hitting a struggle I can't overcome.

Can someone who knows the intake vacuum setup give me a brief description of how the vac lines are SUPPOSED to be connected from the back of the intake to the service port and the IMRC/IMSC? I have just replaced the IMRC solenoid, and I'm pretty sure it was for nothing... I've been trying to make sense of the vac diagram provided, but it hasn't been so helpful for me.

Thanks in advance for the help, any better vac diagram pictures would be a life saver as well.

Thanks in advance for the help, Ulysses

Also, I am getting check engine codes for random misfires on all 4 cylinders, I expected this had something to do with the intake manifold swirl control. I still believe the problem is vac lines, because they were recently disconnected to plug the hole on the front of the intake behind the PS pump. Really trying to make progress on this if anyone has info it will help.

Ulysses.

I know this is an old thread but did you ever straighten this truck out?
