Tire or bearing-like noise when turning left.

There is what sounds like tire noise or a wheel bearing gone bad when I turn left at low speeds. Nothing makes a sound when turning right. So I just replaced the passenger side wheel bearings, and nada, no improvement. The ball joints are less than a year old, and they dont wobble around. I also rotated the tires in case that was the problem. Has anybody had a similar issue?

The only thing I can think of is maybe steering linkages or suspension components loose. I'll be checking things out some more in the morning, but this one is a puzzler. Any suggestions would be helpful.

Did you reset camber after new ball joints were installed, if one side is out then it would only make a noise turning in one direction

Is that a unit bearing? Or a serviceable bearing set?

I had it aligned after installing ball joints and springs. Perhaps it has settled and thrown one side out...

The bearings pop out of the rotor. The races can be pressed out.

Have you checked to see if the bearings are loose? They may need to be tightened up a bit?

When you initially do them did you preload them and spin it a few times?

Yep. Pre-load tighten to 20 ft-lb while spinning, then loose 1/2 turn and tighten to 18-20 in-lb according to the manual. I'm gonna look at the suspension tomorrow. Maybe something there is loose.

Maybe this is the issue? I noticed that the pinch bolt wasn't tightened after the alignment. Look at the difference in camber side to side. Would that cause a noise only while turning left? I'd better go back to big o tires and demand they fix it... It's hard to find people that do things right anymore...

It was the alignment. The camber was way off, which probably threw out the toe. No more noise now. Thanks for the help!
