that's your differential and no, there arent any fixes. besides lifting it and putting bigger tires on it to increase the ground clearance

Yeah, most people shave that off for more clearance. I would just take your grinder or plasma cutter out and go to town.

which would then be immediately followed by a "My 4wd won't work..." or "bad grinding noise coming from up front..." thread....lol

Here is your fix:

that still wont solve the problem, he'll just drag the diff when he is running over cars. i think this is the fix:

actually you might be able to shave some off I've seen it done on the GM 14 bolt because of the sher size of it. They make a shave kit for the 14 bolt you half to cut the bottom half to diff off and weld in a flat piece of metal with a custom cover. then you half to shave the outter edge off the ring gear to make it flat too. I've never seen it done on a D28 or D35 but it prolly could be done. :dunno:

Lol!

The shave mod could probably be done without shaving the ring gear (which I not done properly, would result in a bad ass vibration)

a real tank, not a toy tank. it would help b/c it has no diff to drag. if it does drag, you just back up and blow it up.

i saw that, i thought it was pretty cool.

i dont think there's enough room to do it on a d35 or d28, be cool if someone did it though.
