That link is from Australia...............

It is the T6 International Ranger, which has been available there and pretty much the rest of the world, EXCEPT North America, since 2011

You can read up on the T6 here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ford_Ranger_(T6)

There are rumors that the T6 Ranger is going to be built and sold in North America, when I can test drive one I will believe it :)

Ron, I'm aware of all that. Just thought I would post the link because we might get a lot of the same equipment on the Ranger that is coming to North America as a 2019 model. Other than the fact that Ford has actually said we are getting it and where it will be built most of what we read right now is just speculation. But, hey, that's part of the fun in anticipating any new model.

Automobilemag.com reported seeing the 'Raptor' Ranger again on 08/14/2017.

This looks like a Michigan manufacturers plate:

If you look at the photos below, you'll notice the there is a F-150 in that Coco's parking lot. And they basically all look like american manufactured vehicles.

The test vehicle is rolling on 285/70/17's which equate to 32.7 inch tires/

According to the article:

Earlier this year, Ford confirmed plans to bring the midsize Ranger back to the U.S. alongside a new Bronco. Currently, it’s expected to arrive as a 2019 model and be a true body-on-frame truck. But while a lot of details are still up in the air, based on our latest spy shots, it looks like Ford is already working on a Raptor-like off-road version of its upcoming midsize pickup.
As you can see, this camouflaged Ranger has a lot more than a lift kit on it. According to our photographer, the front end is more aggressively styled, and the fenders wider than he’s seen on previous prototypes. You can also clearly see that it’s riding on 285/70 R17 BF Goodrich All-Terrain TA tires, which are pretty close to what you get on the Wrangler Rubicon.

In what may be a first, this prototype also had camouflage under the body to hide the suspension. So even though we were able to get a few shots underneath the truck, there isn’t actually much to see. Then again, the fact that the testers would go to that kind of trouble suggests that it may be hiding Ford’s answer to the Chevrolet Colorado ZR2‘s trick suspension.

And speaking of the Colorado, this prototype reportedly had a diesel engine, potentially setting it up as a direct competitor for the ZR2 and its 2.8-liter turbodiesel. Assuming Ford is taking aim at Chevrolet, the off-road-ready Ranger will probably also offer a gas option. Our guess is that it will be the 2.7-liter turbocharged V-6 found in the F-150. Even with the same tune, the 2.7’s 325 hp and 375 lb-ft of torque already beats the ZR2’s 3.6-liter V-6 gas engine with its 308 hp and 275 lb-ft of torque.
The Ford Ranger has historically been a truck that Ford has built in response to what other manufacturers were doing. If Chevy is selling Colorado ZR-2's than their's a very good chance that Ford is going to offer something to compete with it. I could care less what they call it, as long as it performs offroad.

Everybody else is trying to figure out what size it is and I am like "are those lockouts?" :icon_confused:

I don't think they are but it would sure be cool if they were...

Great observation. I looked at wheel, but didn't pay any attention to the hub (but then, I've never had a truck without lockouts). It does resemble the knob for lockouts.

Looks like the pic is of a rear tire but Ford did pseudo dummy lockouts on the rear of previous Rangers too. :dntknw:

Ya I think it's just the wheel. The front and rear looks the same.

do vehicles from Mexico meet the USA safety/EPA requirements?
it used to be military guys bringing vehicles back had to get them "federalized" to meet US standards. glass, bumpers, safety, emissions etc.

back on topic, some Bronco spy pics show the same wheels.

You sure that's not a 3.2L? The Ranger we can't buy yet is available with a 3.2L inline 5 cyl turbo diesel...

Depends on vehicle - thanks to NAFTA, most Dodge Rams are built in Mexico, so for them the answer is yes.

For the BT-50; as it was never sold in USA (or Canada), there isn't any DOT approval on file, so, no they don't.

Now, anything over 25 years old (USA), 15 years (Canada) can be imported without safety/EPA approvals. Insurance can be tricky though (Was looking into importing a Ranger Crewcab as they are getting to be 15 years old now).

Which leaves me curious on how Texas-B4000 got it licensed. (I also wonder if it is from Mexico or further south - I regularly work in Guadalajara and never seen one, but colleagues have the Rangers).

Realize this thread is a few months old, but I can't imagine what the sticker will be on a potential "Ranger Raptor". Don't know what the street price is on the current Raptors, but what is sticker? Something like 75,000 grand? Flipping ridiculous.

I'm sure it's been said before, but part of the original appeal of the early Rangers was the price.

Starting MSRP on the Raptors is around $50,000.
