Thanks Bobby Mustang spares - hens teeth. I waiting for prices for Holley and Msd from my local speed shop. Will have a look at Edelbrock aswell.do you have access to mustang stuff over there for a decent amount of coin?
are there any tuners that work with yank stuff?
to use an oem based setup i dont think you would want less then 24# injectors...likely 30's and you will want to dial in a stroker most of the time, but i have had decent drivability with the old eec4 stuff on a 347 that might get you by initially. runnig the restrictive stock intake on 40 irons i have seen the little stokers run real strong. mileage wasnt improved too much but they run good and altitude sickness is much better..
i threw away a ton of stuff recently and it made me sick because i would rather mail it to someone who could use it.
edelbrock would be my first choice over 1500, you have a shit ton of control for what you pay.

i would say the holley systems are equal though. the terminator systems are outstanding and i have seen them on sale at 1500....a hp carb and matched up intake is 900-1200 here so if you were starting from scratch a guy would have to be a fawking moron not to use it....
these guys have had good deals in the past. http://www.holleyefi.biz/SBF-HP-KIT-USING-TFI-DISTRIBUTOR-RED-7796.htm
take your time and shop carefully and i bet you can nail it down for a recoverable price before you freshen the engine up....unless its already hurt from the carb.
