Yet if u need to drop tranny later or change mount. U wont have to cut out weld or fight with other sharp edges. This plate will save u hundreds of dollars. Literally. So far im sitting on 450.00 duff radiator. With mechanical fan. And two explorer radiator with electric fan. All cuz motor is moving. I decided to fix it where itl nvr move again but i want to be able to remove tranny wout a cutting torch.

I thought if you use the Mustang convt. Mounts you need to also run the adapter plates from Advance Adapter ? ? ? I just purchased them for my build , guess I'll find out tomorrow when I put them on.

No you don't need any additional plates with the very mounts.

errrrr. . . . . . So are they used instead of slotting the cross member then ? I watched a video on you tube where a guy used the vert. mounts with these same exact slotted adapter plates for his build also. When I dropped my motor in with the vert. mounts it was obvious something was missing . I was just sitting it in to see how it was all going to line up / sit . After doing a little more research I seen that some people use these with the vert. mounts.

Maybe its me, but a crappy design like that would have me wondering when my motor would fall out. Go with the factory rubber 4.0 mounts and a flat plate that bolts to the block and sits on top of the mount...

My buddy ran this set up for 8 years on his 5.0 Ranger with out a motor falling out.... Use Loctite and grade 8 hardware you'll be fine.
