OK so I swapped a 96 explorer 5.0 into a 2000 ranger. I went carbed with it, everything works good except the alternator. I can't get it to charge my battery. I have a 2 wire plug for the voltage regulator on the alternator which contains a Yellow/White wire, and a Green/Red wire. I also have the heavy cable that runs from the alternator to the fuse box. I'm not sure what I connect the other end of the two wire plug to, I've tried a couple different connections and nothing is working out for me. All I'm reading is 12 volts. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.
