Hitch Lift?

If I were to lift the hitch up to make it look stock (due to a body lift) just by drilling out the holes needed and bolting it up would it compromise the integrity of the hitch or would it be the same just higher?

as long as it's still attached to the frame, shouldn't be any problems that i can see. you will have to adjust the height of the ball so your trailer will sit level, but they make those adjustable height ones that work well. that's what i use.
