I have a 98 ranger with the 3.0l. and 5 speed. a while back the 4x4 lights started flashing 6 times every few minutes I have cheched the fuses, relays, and the shift motor it's self, and all were fine. The washer inside was a bit crushed so I rotated it and still I got the lights flashing. Where do I go next?

I've found one every trip in the one yard near me. The one I put in my Ranger was already out the truck sitting in the front seat of an explorer with the linkage, knob, and boot except the shift arm on the transfer case. I got it out the door for $80 including the $25 core. That was back in 08 though.

What is a 1354m? A manual shift transfer case that will bolt right up that would be sweet and worth while. As far as cleaning the shift motor how do I go about getting the blue disk/shift sensor, with the wires coming out of it apart mine looks like a sealed unit or snap together, not sure how to get it apart
