any comments or additional info welcome, its just a pile of numbers to me.
Ford doesn't print the cam duration in their manuals, what they do print & what it is you found is the cams lift being .420" at the valve or .260" at the lobe, rocker ratio being 1.6 provides the mathematical difference between .260 at the lobe and .420 at the valve stem, multiply .260 x 1.6 & you get the valve lift.
Most aftermarket cam suppliers will either advertise their cam with specs which are the *advertised* cam specs or some go a little extra & print the specs rated at what is called .050" (50 thou). at 50 thou is a more accurate description of the cams true specs rather than the advertised spec which is used as a selling point.
See the graph I linked to for Morana's 3 cam profile he cuts for the 3.0L engine, you'll see the advertised rating plus the .050 spec.
His *A* cam has a good looking profile but in my opinion has a little too much duration for a low rpm *torker* cam (one does not want to exceed .250 advertised), the lift however could be another .010" for a lift of .454 instead of .444. at .454 one could still use the OEM springs.

I honestly don't think you'll find anything even in a mild performance cam from Rockauto or Napa, Summit has one very mild Sealed Power cam listed and it is mild in it's specs.

It is 181/232 on the intake & 200/250 on the exhaust (this is duration @.050"/advertised), the duration is a dual pattern. The exhaust duration is right where you want it but the intake is short.
for lift there is .250 lobe lift for the intake & .260 lobe lift for the exhaust, multiply those figures by 1.6 & you get the lift at the valve stem.
Separation is 117 degrees which is fine for a roller cam.
The Taurus cam will indeed lean a little more to a higher rpm cam see as the Ranger cam is a truck cam, one wants the truck max torque to be lower in the rpm band seeing as that is where the engine does its work. but that figure in my opinion needs to be lower still.
I've looked as well at the Camcraft site in the past, his tappet cam that is listed as the *183-0606 256/256 206/206 .448/.448 110* is pretty much right on the money, one would have to pick up the phone & call Charlie & speak to him on the profile he cuts for the rollers.
