...I recently picked up a rear left and right parking brake cables for my 2003 xlt 4x4 " extended cab " from a discount parts store, and they are not holding right. With the parking brake on if you apply a bit of gas the truck will lurch ahead. In guessing they gave me cables for a regular cab.
...I went to the ford dealer and they told me I need a " Brca 40 and Brca 11. I looked it up when I got home and it sais these are for a 04 05 + ranger. Will these fit on my 03 extended cab?
Thanks

sounds like you need to adjust your brakes up, if your pedal goes to the floor and you feel very little resistance, then this is probably the case.

I agree with Holy. Regular cab cables are the same at the axle, and if they were wrong they'd be way too short and just wouldn't fit.

Was the issue there before? Maybe the 2 other old cables stretched?
