So one day a couple of weeks ago i drove my truck to school in the morning when i got back from school and my chicks car was dead i jump started her car then left it on for a awhile then turned both off.....about 20 mins later i get in her and its dead again so i go to my truck and my truck is dead also since its a 5 spd i push start it but as soon as it turns on a pillow of smoke comes out the hood......the wire from the starter solenoid to the starter burnt out so i replaced but now i get no power running to the truck tried several batteries still no power........im thinking it might be a relay or a fuse i checked all the ones by the bttery all seem fine havent checked the ones under the dash yet.....
Any clues....?

I tried putting pics but kept giving me an error

If you have a volt meter or can get one, you should be able to test outward from the battery. Check the power across the solenoid and the "S" Terminal (the one that should have a wire on it) and so forth.

You may have fried a few things on the wiring...like the main power line from the battery to the ignition...it should be a slightly thinner line than the battery cable and this should run all the way back to the steering column...probably a yellow line at the steering column...

Hopefully it stopped at the solenoid though...
