I'm talkin the whole frame mounted hitch assembly...quite a bargain when it was $125 new.

The bolts were completely un-corroded and new so easy disassembly, it must not have been mounted for very long...pretty good score.

Now....if I could just find me a set of manual locking hubs.....lol.

I love going. So far on my '96 I've gotten all my parts from explorers. I added new cluster with tach, center radio trim where I'm adding another phone plug and a separate switch for the damn cargo light. I really want it independent from the interior light. I also snagged the overhead console and will be doing that soon. Who knows, maybe even a 4.0 upgrade someday.

Quick question. Any thoughts on changing from 14" to 15" rims? Other than 14" tires are more money and harder to find.

This sticker is on my toolbox.

When I first went to a yard, there were model A's and T's in there.
I bought a spare parts truck, so I wont be needing parts for the truck.
The Suburban on the other hand.......

I spent every afternoon for a good month and a half in the junkyard when I built my Dakota. You have to with a Dodge. Going there for Ranger parts is a luxury comparatively.

My wife doesn't understand it either. I can spend all day Saturday at the JY and come home acting like a kid on his birthday, all giddy. Then spend all day Sunday tinkering with the treasures I got.

Didn't know about the explorer. Exactly what years are parts interchangeable for my ranger?

95-01 would have the most in common with yours.

As you venture farther away from that some stuff does (2011+ aside) but the list gets smaller.
