Just picked up a 2006 ranger 5spd and there is NO headroom. I imagine I could just cut the seat rails and lower them that way, but I was wondering if anyone has ever seen any lower rails for sale? I know the Jeep xj guys can order them from Jeep.

Any help would be appreciated. My back hurts!!

Hey I was just curious how tall are you. I'm 6'5" and I just bought a 2006 Ranger and it seemed like it had a lot more headroom then the the 90's models. Hopefully you'll find something out about those seats. Good hunting

:sad:I'm 6-3, but have some back troubles, so sitting posture is very important.

My 91 ranger had way more head room. I think that was due to the seat being rusted through the floor

you probably should look at a new bracket set-up....

it's possible you'll just need to buy some aftermarket seat... those ride pretty low usually.

I'd like to keep the stock seats, and it looks like I should be able to remove about 1.5 inches and still slide the seat front and rear. I'll have to also check the passenger side as well, I'd like the seats to be even.

I know a good cheap welder, and a good cheap powdercoater.

this may end up being a good Tech submission.
