As with many others, I have found myself facing the rough idle issue on my ranger. I just picked it up last weekend and since then I have noticed that while the truck is at a stop or sitting in park, the truck will idle normally and then every couple seconds it idles (shakes) more rough. RPMs are between 500-800. It does not make a difference whether the AC is on, or if the O/D is on/off.
I have replaced all the spark plugs and wires, and also the fuel filter with no luck. I had a friend recommend replacing the coil pack but I have yet to try that (plus you can't return it if that's not the problem). I picked up a can of SeaFoam and was curious if anyone had any luck with that?
I plan to do a compression test this coming weekend when I head over to my dads since he has the tool for it.
I have no check engine light and ran it with a scanner and had no codes pop up at all.
Any other ideas?
