Had an excellent day at my favorite U pull it yard. Scored alot of good RBV parts! Found a '91 2wd XLT ranger that had the blue interior bits I've been searching for my '91 4x4 for the last 8 months. Grabbed the nice upscale door panels to replace my base model ones, left a-pillar trim because someone had spilt white paint on my trucks original, and the nice cloth split bench seat to replace my worn out bench seat eventually. Next was a '93 Explorer Sport that I grabbed the black grill & head light surrounds from. Then there was a nice '90 4.0 4x4 extended cab ranger that had a really bad interior fire but just so happen to have a perfect rust free passenger door which are almost impossible to find in the northeast. Then there was a pretty nice '86 B2. The tan (eddie bower?) interior was almost mint so I grabbed the door panels from it. I also snagged the rust free hood for my '88 GT. Finally there was a '92 Ranger Sport which was a treasure trove of parts for my trucks. First 2nd gen Ranger Sport I've ever come across in person! Only the second time I've ever seen a 2.3 4x4 truck in a pick n pull over the 7 years I've been looking. I wasn't leaving any good part behind on it. I grabbed the scarce 2.3 m5od 4wd trans for a spare (now I have 3 spares loool), complete 1354 manual t-case setup with shifter, floor pan plate, and rare m5od/manual t-case shifter bezel, rear double cardan driveshaft since mine was missing the slip joint dust boot & the u-joints were in need of replacing, the true D35 TTB 4.10 geared chunk, and finally the unique and very hard to find 2.3 4wd motor mounts. The frame side mounts are the only 100% unique part to a 4cyl 4wd truck. I was there pulling parts from opening at 8am till closing at 4:30pm haha. I like grabbing spare parts because 1st & 2nd gen rangers are becoming more and more scarce in the U pull it yards around me :bawling:

And you're the reason why!

I'd do the same if I had the space to store it.

Wow, I would agree on a great day at Pick n pull. I'm jealous of that clean tan interior and the 4.10 front pumpkin.

The real question is what did you end up paying for all of it?

Yeah! Looks like it was well taken care of but just rotted out over time. I only had time to pull the door panels from it

More then I really wanted to spend :icon_rofl:

But it was worth it to save some rare parts :icon_thumby:

My credo
If you're not making mistakes, you're not learning.
Is the 3rd picture from the bottom the motor mounts? I didn't know the 4x4 2.3L trucks had different ones from the 2wd's. I was going to re-use my old ones if they weren't bad.

Think you could get a side by side picture of them for me? or at least describe how they are different?

Its the frame side mounts that the rubber isolators sit on that are unique to a 2.3 4wd (the 2 in the middle of the picture) as the TTB crossmember is wider/shaped differently then a 2wd truck. The block mounts are the same for 2wd & 4wd applications.

Reminds me, I need to look for another 2.3 4x4 transmission. Mine with 500k on it is getting winy.
