I used the utmost care & patience when pulling steering wheel w/ gear puller. I reused the mounting screw-
P.S. Don't forget to disconnect the negative battery cable & make line-up marks on steering wheel for quick installation.

The wheel will only fit one way, it is indexed.

I saw a video recently that said to disconnect both the negative and positive terminals for at least 20 minutes when removing an airbag.

I saw a video recently where I disconnect them all the time with the battery hooked up because if you aren't dumb enough to unplug the airbag end of the harness first there is about a 1 in 10 million chance of it going off.

Also, the screw can be reused. They tell you to replace it because pulling it out destroys the thread locker. Just put some blue on it and send it down nice and tight.
