Where can i find these copper shift rail plugs. are they a generic plug you can buy from Oreillyauto Napa ect. would they know what i'm talking about. Are they aftermarket offroad HD parts I need to get from some tranny place. Or can they be found at the dealer ford or Mazda? Looking to find them somewhere other than online if I can. And if they are just freeze plugs what size are they, and are these the freeze plugs used on the engines.

Thanks,
Jason

I just bought some at NAPA last week. I had the Dorman part number and it crossed over to the NAPA 5/8 inch plugs. It must have been the correct cross because the fit in tight but they did fit.

You can either use Dana 219-3052 or Dorman 555-108. I think my local NAPA only stocks Dana. If you have an Oreilly near you than this is the part you need:

http://www.oreillyauto.com/EW3/DisplayTheParts.do?exactItemNumberIndex=0&didSearchFor=555-108&bid=1234360711965&cycleCount=1313

Whatever you do, do NOT order them from Rockauto. I have almost 200 of them setting around right now that were the wrong size because they apparently stopped stocking the Dorman plug and went to some generic one that is 16.08mm instead of 16.2 so they had to be stamped out in my press so that they would work.
