So I sold my house. Took 4 offers, but were are in the home stretch. Buyers need instant possession. Passed all inspections 2 weeks ago. I have to be out by this weekend. So that meant I had to make the Mounty roll over Memorial Weekend after my kids went to bed.

I finished knocking off all the 2006 bracketry off the passenger side. Then started lining up the axle where I wanted it and welded in it. Not the route I wanted to take, but its all I had time for.

Thankfully we found a small rental house with a 3 car garage. No 220, but hey, its a garage. It wasn't possible to find a new house in the amount of time we had. So we are stuck for a year. Better than being in an apartment!

So here she is. Not going to lie, I was pretty ecstatic when I mounted the front tires on. This is the wheel base I want and the ride height I want. However, this D60 pumpkin is large. I think I am going to have to go up at least 2 more inches. Also, the front is about 2” lower than the rear anyways at this point. The rear is just an axle flip at this point. Yes, there is a lot of cutting in my future.

The temporary setup. We are currently looking for land. I want to build a house this round.

I have solved your dilemma with the 220V for $350.

Plus, you have a backup generator :icon_thumby:

I give you props for going back to a rental. After owning my own, I don't ever want to deal with a landlord again :thefinger:
I thought about buying a generator. The issue is that I wrench on week nights after sundown. Cant run that thing at night or my kids will never sleep :dunno:

Renting Sucks. Period. I had no choice.

Damn.... but it is a detached garage :D

I understand. I would eventually like to build my own as well. Who knows when that will be, but there is a likely chance the Amish will be involved. Good craftsmanship and qood (tax free) prices.

Well once you get settled in, you'll have a year to figure it out. Just make sure the new garage has a lift in it :headbang:

Going off on a tangent here...
I drew this up with the floor plan we want. Met with some builders. They said they were used to napkin sketches lol. I got it priced out by 2 builders. Looks like a go. House is 2400 sq ft. See attached. I have another screen shot with my dually and stuff in the garage. But its not here at work with me.

So outbuildings do not count in appraisals out here. They add value, but banks will not loan that extra value. And today, no one has the cash to come up with the difference. That is what screwed me on the house I just sold.
So this round, I want an attached 48x32 4.5 car just to park my toys, my sons toys and my wifes car. And then I will build a 2 bay 32x32x14ish later for the lift and to use as a work shop. Keep the mess in there.

Nice. I could see us doing something similar, but my wife wants a wrap around porch lol. I just want a big garage, a vaulted cieling living room, and a big ass fire place with a TV over it. :D And maybe a hot tub :icon_twisted:

:D

That is where I want it to be. I plan on cutting A LOT.
The issue is the D60 is close to the frame rail. 4" maybe.... Might be tubing that section of the frame.
