I'm stuck and need help . I have been trying to figure this out for a week now and going no where fast. I am running a C4 transmission , everything bolted up fine. The stock shift cable from the 4.0 will NOT work with the C4 and I have no clue what shift cable to get. Anyone has any ideas at all please help.
The truck is Ready to the speed shop for the exhaust and its pretty much done except I cant get a shift cable to work. :icon_confused:

Whats not working, shift direction, or actually mounting it to the lever?

The stock 93 ranger shift cable is way to long . I forgot to mention its going to be column shift so the shift arm on the transmission is point up. The cable from park Pulls so I can not mount it from the rear ( keeps pulling it into park ) so it has to come in from the front.

I can mount it from the rear and I thought I had it all ready then I noticed when I pull it into gear from the column the cable pulls so mounting from the rear isn't an option .
Mounting locations are very slim from the front do to exhaust . I didn't know if there was a metal linkage that would work or a shorter cable or perhaps a cable that would push instead of pull.

It can be used as either, but its used as a pull. I'm thinking of using 2 of them for my tcase shifters...

Ahhh. I just got back from the junk yard . All the shift linkage cables I looked at for them years don't connect to the arm under the steering stem. They all go through the firewall and connect.
