hi i have a 10in polk dxi dual voice coil sub. i have it wired for 4ohms right now because i have a coustic 600w 2 channel amp. i have the amp bridged to get the full 600w but can only run it at 4ohms due to this. i would like a mono 600w amp that will be able to handle the 2ohms if i wire the sub in paralell....any suggestions?

try JL audio, or clarion. personally have found them to be best, but they are pricey.

i never let the peak power of an amp go over the rating on the sub. whats the subs RMS? try to match that to an amp.

honestly iv never liked JL not trying to piss anyone off but there are tons of diffrent options for you with that sub you could try craglist and see whats for sale used in ur area that would get you the most bang for your buck and one thing to think about is are you ever thinking of getting a bigger subwoofer i cant count the number of times iv seen people go buy a new amp and then 2 weeks later want a bigger sub and there trying to get rid of the amp they just bought if your still going to buy new my favorite companys alwas been Treo but MBquart makes some nice little amps too

Oh and by the way theres is no problem getting an amp that makes more power then your sub you can adjust the gain to make it work its actuly beter to have some extra power so you get cleaner power when you turn it up towards the max of the sub.
