Door carpet accents.

Anyone know how they come off?

You know the ones that go on under bottom of the third gen doors?

I'm gonna redo the headliner in camo and wanted to do those accents too since they look shitty in carpet lol.

Also anyone ever try to redo the rear wall carpet? The trim against the back wall? Seems like it's glued or melted on.

are you talking about the black plastic strips that say "Ranger" on them?

I would imagine that they are clipped into the metal. if you can get a putty knife under them and gently pry up on them they might pop off.

Go practice on a junkyard model to be sure tho...

Also, an update. I finally got it done next is the doors

Well what do you guys think? I tried dying the visors in the meantime. I eventually want to redo them in camo or buy new ones in black.

you gotta pull the door panels and then you will see if I remember right that they are held in place by melted studs. They are not designed to be taken out best as I could tell. I had a blue interior and grey door panels, they dont come apart, so I just used the blue cloth paint and redid the door panels in blue. Painted the carpet areas also, and the grey sun visors. seems to be holding up.

Damn I was afraid of that. Hmm I could reweld it or maybe use some kind of rivet I really need to see it.

Actually I needed to redo it but didn't want grey...plus not white...Lol I guess haters gon hate besides looks good to be honest. And it's one way to be unique without putting a **** ton of ricer shit on it.

Looks sharp...good work. Did you follow the online tutorial/page on headliners listed in the Tech Section? Some boneheaded kid took a knife to my headliner before I bought my Ranger and it looks like a cracked-out cat or three spent a day rippin' it up. What kind of adhesive did you use to tack the new camo cloth down to the liner...any particular brand or place of purchase?

I loosely followed guides. It's pretty straight forward take everything in the way off, scrape it down but be careful. Apply glue let it setup, then lay it on and form it to the headliner. Let it dry a bit, trim flip and fold over the edges. Lol

I used the recommended one from where I purchased the liner yourautotrim store online foam backed for 20 a yard I used a little less than a yard for mine but bought 3 to do the other odds and ends later. They sell a glue that's well recommended on different boards. It's 10 bucks a can I went through just over one can but I was extremely generous lol.

i haven't had a 3rd gen door panel apart lately to see extactly, but if it is melted studs like hank said, you can grind the melted plastic down to the point that you can pull the section out, re-cover it, then just glue the panel back on with an epoxy or something.
