There is a really nice Bronco II in the Tampa LKQ if anyone is interested. It was untouched as of Saturday.

Everywhere except Idaho I guess, seems people get all sorts of pretty decent vehicles from junk yards all over the country, except here in Idaho they claim once it goes through the gate it can never be sold again...yeah what a crock of shit.

Here in Saskatchewan, as I understand it, once the vehicles VINs are vetted for not stolen, liens, etc, they are prepped for dismantling (eg: gas tanks holed and drained etc) before being made available for parting (eg: put on the rows at the local pick-a-part). Somewhere in that process, the VINs are reported as the equivalent of 'vehicle destroyed'.

Once the VINs have been reported, neither the yard nor the gov't wants to see those VINs (vehicles) coming back to life again.

I know one guy that found a Karmin Gia he wanted bad for a parts car. They wouldn't sell him the car so with a friend he carried the body out one day and the frame/running gear out the next day.

Earlier this year I followed a crew of guys maneuvering a stripped Dodge pickup cab minus the front clip thru the building on two wheel barrows. By all rights that cab had the VIN...
