Do any of us really care what EPA thinks/does anymore? I'm getting so pissed at those idiots I'm starting to think about advocating removal of cats as a form of protest.

Seems like the longer the economy stays in the dumps, the more the government wants to regulate the heck out of it and stomp their jackboots on anything that looks to have signs of life. But I'll leave it at that for now, not looking to start a war right now.

Why not? I'm thinking about it.

That's a junk, "click bait" article based on a SEMA press release that was incorrect

If you read the actual proposed legislation, it basically only includes semis and heavy trucks. So, what the EPA is saying, is that if your heavy truck came with emissions equipment, you can't legally remove it (at least in a state with emissions testing) even if you're "off road only". That's nothing new. They don't care about anything other than what's coming out off the tailpipe. We'll all be able to keep modding our Rangers just like we have been. :icon_thumby:

On a similar note the Supreme Court shut down Obama's bullshit power grab, executive order requiring energy producers to clean-up more. It is being appealed, but he will be out of office before he can pursue it any further.

The $10 a barrel BS won' t get past Congress. What a jerk to put that on us when it's one of the only bright spots in this economy. We can't afford this

Vote Republican and end this BS! The far left does not own this country and the back lash against them starts with us in November.

I hate to remind you, but what has congress done to stop anything from Obama?

My $0.02 on the $10/barrel tax:

It's because of a drop in oil consumption thanks to more fuel efficient vehicles. The problem is that oil taxes are used to fund federal highway maintenance. However, the revenue coming in is down but the wear and tear on the highway isn't changing. Roads don't fix themselves... besides, our infrastructure is in crappy shape as it is.

They can't just jack up registration costs instead as vehicle registration is a state power, not a federal power (minus federal gov't owned vehicles, obviously).

Not commenting on the validity of federal highway funding, but FYI, that's the rationale for the tax hike.
