Okay, I have a new issue, and for once, I actually know what the problem is and what I have to do to fix it. I am coming here to see if anybody knows of a decent source for my repair part. I got in the Camaro last night, and when I was fastening my seatbelt, I heard a 'pop' from under my seat, and the whole seat shifted backward. It appears the bracket that bolts the left front of the seat adjuster assembly to the floor pan snapped. Maybe this is the car's way of telling me I need to go on a diet.
By chance do any of you know of a supplier for this part? Do you know if I can just get the outside portion of the adjuster, or do I have to buy the whole thing? My local salvage yard does not have any Camaros. I have the four-way manual seat, by the way. Thanks in advance.

Sounds like cut, grind, weld might be the better way to go here. You could build something a little more substantial than the stock item.

If I tried to cut, grind, and/or weld something here, a few things would happen, and one would not. I would end up with stitches, my skin would be missing in a few places, and I would be burnt over 60% of my body. :icon_welder: The one thing that would not happen would there would be no usable driver's seat in the car. I am not a fabricator. I will be the first to admit it. I do thank you for your help, but my wife and I discussed it, and I think we're going to convert the seat to power adjust.
