The broadcast radio antenna and coax are not designed for transmit power
They are typically built with 92 OHM impedance coaxial cable which also won't work.

The method shown above looks good if you really won't be using the radio antenna...

hey Allan, yeah, I ran a new cable and the install looks pretty clean, it could have been done slightly better if I had better tools, but overall i'm happy with it. the radio reception (fm) isn't HORRIBLE, but it certainly is worse than it was, I never listen to the radio, i always have my phone plugged into the stereo so it's not a problem, I could always put a small aftermarket antenna onto the stereo and just stuff it inside the dash, would make the reception immensely better, good enough I wouldn't have any issues around town, but not as good as factory obviously
