OK. So my build is on it's way. Dropped the Motor in last night. Drive shaft out of a 4 cylinder donor bolted right up to my C4 and fit like a glove .. . . . I'm trying to decide which electric fan to run , I would like to spend around 200.00 on one maybe a little more depending on its features.
My question is what electric fan are you running or had good luck with ?
Truck is 93 Splash and running with the 4.0 radiator .
Brand of fan ?
single / dual ?
Model number if available so I can look it up.
Thanks in advance guys.

I'm running the taurus single fan, dual speed in SVT, I'm thinking of going with 01cougar dual fans in my sport trac...

Taurus single fan, dual speed but only run the low. It pulls air through a 5.0 explorer rad.

With this Ford Taurus fan does it matter which motor the fan is for ? 3.0 or 3.8 ?

The engine side. I'm not sure if it would damage it to use it as a push fan.

My credo
it is easier to fix and understand than "her"
lincoln intech v8 radiator fans...fwd style

work real good with the v8 diesel. fairly cheap. motors from rock auto are pretty cheap too. probably got 60 bux total wired with cavalier style switch currently.

the 150 fans and these new are pretty good through rock auto too.

MOTORCRAFT Part # RF269 {#AL3Z8C607A, BL3Z8C607A, RF252} Motor and Fan Assy
Radiator Fan; w/ Load Leveling Trailer Tow (Only 1 Remaining)
$179.79

i think that new with pig tails and decent controller ect would be 250-300 or so for allnew shit.

better off with a coupleof ol taurii fans then a flexilight etc from summit....i ruined every fancy fan i bought soi prefer the cheap junkyard stuff...it lasts longer and works better.

Well after all this talk about which fan will work . I had to go with a pusher fan because I was having some clearance issues. The drive shaft was fitting to tightly between the rear end and transmission ( C4 trans W/ 5 speed shaft ) Due to the truck being lowered . So to avoid paying 300 to get the drive shaft cut I decided to move everything forward which all worked out. Pusher fan fits well and hopefully I don't run into any more problems like that.
Thanks for all the advice guys !
