It takes up the entire space. Thats why im concerned. I dont know how much of the gear i can grind off.Might have to grind both. Grinding the tip of the gear teeth isn't bad, there's no load out by the top anyways. Just make sure you don't get into the contact patch area.
Does that block take up that entire rectangular opening? Or is it just the slightly smaller one in the middle that the bolt goes through?

Ya its an automatic. I mainly use the truck for exploring/trail riding. Sometimes I get into some difficult stuff but not often.If you have an automatic transmission and do not do more then light rock crawling, the 4.56 gears should work OK with the 35" tires. However, as you already know they won't be great off-road.
