So I figured I would post a build thread so everyone can see what I did. Maybe it will help someone.

Picture as of 5/20/2013

Front:
79 dana 44 high pinion, 5.13 mini spool, warn hubs, 6" TJ lift coils, narrowed 5", f250 shock towers, custom coil buckets (for jeep coils), high steer using chevy outers, 3" body lift

Rear:
7.5 lol thats right, stock tract lock limited slip, 5.13, single piece drive line swap, 63" chevy leaf spring swap and shock mount relocation coming real soon, I also have a 9" that I will be building this summer

Other Items:
Tube doors, rock sliders, custom bumper, quick disconnects front and rear for the winch, 130 amp alternator swap, 40/40 seat swap

So here is some pictures to get started.
I am going to make kind of a time line.

So I go this truck from my grandpa when he past, he was the original owner!!

I put a 4" suspension, 3" body lift on, with 4.56 gears to start. (there is a lot more to the story but i don't want to list what i have done before this point lol)

So the start of the build

so that dana 44 came out of a 79 F-150, its a high pinion.
I narrowed it 5" on the passenger side

Then I put 5.13 and a mini spool in it.

So then that lead me to this

custom transmission mount

Then I got what I thought would be good steering linkage.

It wasn't..... It was only 3/4 OD lol with 5/8 hemi joints, so i up graded to 1 and 1/4 OD with 3/4 hemi joints :headbang:

I will post more of the build process during this next week but that is a good start hehe

Those are just 33's in the last picture. I have 35's now. I have a lot more of the build not shown yet, so you will see my new wheels when I post more stuff. I still have to show the build pictures for the custom coil buckets, shock towers, single pace drive line, rock sliders, and my 130 alternator swap. I also have a bunch of Rubicon trail pictures to show. :icon_thumby: I was just too lazy to post everything at once ha.

So some up dates....
The next thing i did was make a new track bar out of 1and1/4 and 3/4 rod ends.
don't ask why it is orange

Then, as most of you know, after lifting a super cab the drive line likes to shake a lot. So, I did a single pic drive line swap. I pulled it out of an 98 super cab.
I had to get a new yoke for the rear

I had to trim the gas tank guard quit a bit.

I just slid the old baring support beam back to the second hole.

I have plenty of clearance now.

Next, was the alternator swap. I used a 130 amp out of a 95 t-bird. I had to do some mods to the pulley. The first problem was the pulley rubbed against the housing of the alternator.

so I used an old cone washer I had hanging around.

Then there was no threads showing so, i grinned down the pulley.

Then I made a custom bracket for the adjusting bolt.

Then it was basically bolt on from there. Just a little wiring. 130 amps :icon_bounceblue:

I will post more tomorrow.

But dont worry i got it fix, and with no money out of my pocket. :yahoo:

Two weeks after I got hit me and my buddy's were planing on going on the Rubicon trail. So just before I left I built rock sliders.

Also, just before I left I put f250 shock towers up front and fabbed up my coil buckets a little.

you like?
I will post pictures of the Rubicon trail tomorrow!!!!
