So I got this 2wd 1995 F150. Uncle bought this truck brand new 5.0l&4R70W automatic and gave it to me couple weeks ago. He was going to call the salvage yard to haul it away for scrap. It's got 116k on it and other then some rusty spots here and there its a solid truck. I picked it up and got ALL! the brake lines steel and rubbers replaced as well as the power steering lines. Runs like a top other then an exhaust leak at the drivers manifold flange.

So the plan for this project is get this SAS done and build a D.D./tow&plow rig out of it. Over the weekend Jeff's Bronco Graveyard had an open house with a truck show and swap meet. Went over there and picked and HP44 complete with steering linkage for $100. Also got a pair of stock radius arms with dual shock set up for $15.

If anyone out there has ever done one of these swaps I'd be grateful for any tip or pointers. Everything I've found about doing this is people building wheeling rigs with flexy suspensions. I want to try and keep this truck as low as possible for towing and hauling. Pictures to come tomorrow.

www.fullsizebronco.com good site..but not as good as here
You got that right. :icon_thumby:

Camera was dying so the picture suck and I couldn't get any of the truck itself. Going to drop off the radius arm at the local machine shop at lunch. There's a couple broken bolts that i don't wanna F with and they'll clean all the threads up for me. Need to find the shock mounts for them now.

I got a deal on four complete lock outs and spindle locknuts for $25. My axle only came with one milemarker lockout so now I have a pair of them and three Warn lockouts. Hopefully tomorrow I'll be getting a used set of Skyjacker 6" coils and radius arm drop brackets for $30.

Need to find someone with lower coil buckets and retainers though..... Jeff's bronco graveyard has them but I'm trying to do this on the cheap side.

I just helped a buddy do his. the coils and rear shocks line right up in the 80-up coil buckets. the rad arms & stock frame bracket from the 79 bolt right up to the frame after you drill the holes. For steering a 84-97 F350 4x4 drag link goes right on without any cutting. The only real fabrication needed is you have to trim the bottom of the engine crossmember to clear the high pinion and you will have to weld up somekind of a trac bar bracket. Its a pretty easy swap. Almost makes you wonder why more people don't do it.

This is way too nice a truck to do that. Gonna be just a work truck/tow rig/D.D. If its there,it'll be in the parking lot.

Still in the gathering parts stage. Machine shop called and said they were able the extract the broken bolts and chase all the threads out of the radius arms. Going to pick them up tomorrow.

Still need to figure out which bushings to order. JBG list kits with different degrees of angle to the c wedge bushings.....

I'm looking for all of the hardware that attaches the coil springs to the axle housing. Anyone know where or have any of this stuff?
