That last pic is the money shot. So much for the idea of hacking the steering to fit a 4.6 in a gen1. Keep the pics coming!

Nice. How much is the engine offset to the passenger side?

about an inch and a half. surprisingly, I only had to notch out a section of the x-member about the size of a small digital camera to clear the oil pan. More pics to come, I got the radiator mocked up where I want it today but the camera batteries were dead. I am hoping to have it running in the next couple weeks and :3gears: by April or so for Cruisin Weekend in Ocean City in May

The engine is running good for the most part, I think i have a collapsed lifter because I am hearing some noise from the passenger side. If I can stay out of the throttle, cruising at 70 requires almost throttle and I swear it is getting in the mid 20's on mileage highway. City is not bad, lots of low end grunt. It needs to get a tune burned onto it as running in closed loop, it acts funny and I thing because it is not seeing the 4r70, the computer isn't putting full timing in it. The only thing I have had to fix/replace was a timing chain tensioner... and a few tires :3gears: I am actually looking to sell it, I want to build up a 3rd gen camaro (have a 383 tpi and a t56 in the shop ready for one)

hey thanks for replieing. i am serously considering doing a 4.6l not sure which one yet into the exact same truck as your build helps me out a lot. So this motor was a 2v right. and did you just use the wiring harness out of the donor car? the only thing that worries me with the swap is the wiring so any insight on how you did yours would be greatly appreciated, also any tips on things that you might have done differently if you were to do the swap again. thanks for paving the way for me lol
