Hi everyone, I have a 1993 Ford Ranger with a Dana 35 front axle, it started leaking gear oil from the driver side shaft at the pumpkin, the question is...is it possible to reseal that side by just removing the shaft? has anybody tried this? or do I have to take the front end apart.

Any pointers will help, thanks.

You should be able to pop the seal out and a new one in without doing any more disassembly than is needed to take the axle shaft out.

You will probably need a really long driver handle though.
