Is there a custom double knuckle lower steering shaft being made that fits nicely and looks very sharp for the ranger? Taking the truck into a shop for custom headers to be made and having a freaking hard time figuring out what style shaft works best.

thanks can post a pic if need be.

I know there is an Aerostar shaft that has been thrown around for those with a bodylift that has u-joints. Not sure if it would do you any good or not.

A pic would probably help.

ok.... shop decided for what i was needing to redirect me to a shop that sells the double knuckle shafts pre made.

Here is what I have now before it gets shortened and fit into the truck.
and the reason for doing all this extra work is... running 40-p heads and on monday the rig is heading into a custom shop for the custom made long headers. Down along the steering box is pretty tight to where the pipe will be going, so I am looking to get all the extra room I can get for the pipes. as the 2 pics show the differences in diameter.

Will be posting all (work to date) pics in the build thread after the pipes are installed.

cheers and thanks for the help.
