ok i have got my speedometer fixed and calibrated to within .5 mph fast..

problem is when i'm going 70 to 80 mph and hit a bump speedometer jumps to 85 mph and slowly comes back down to where it should..

i have replaced speedometer drive gear, speedometer driven gear, and speed sensor. i have cleaned and lubed speedometer cable and cleaned lubed gears on the back of speedometer..

any ideas

i have read somewhere on this site about symptoms and fixes specifically related to speedometers but don't recall this symptom in the list and can't remember where i read it. (you know old age :icon_rofl:)

Use the search function and see what comes up. It is old age with the truck causing the issue...lol
