Hey realy odd question I have a 94 mazda b4000 and I really want to put a Chevy 305 from a trans am in it, the 305 has roller cam and lifters plus flat top pistons I have no intention of boring or stroking the motor just carb it and electronic fule pump Form stock tank I do have intentions of doing a more powerful motor in the future just thought who to ask a group of guys that know a thing or 2

This is the website that gave me the idea http://www.hotrod.com/how-to/engine/ccrp-9903-305-chevy-small-block-engine-build/

OK I agree with that statement to a point but that is a debate for a different time and place plus the Ford community is not losing a lot from a b4000 with a 305

There's been a couple of small block Chev swaps done. Use the "google custom search" button at the top right of every page.

i dont have pics anymore but order motor mounts for a 1962 impala 5.3 then use some c channel to bolt to the frame. drill holes through the channel to allow the motor mounts to fit around it and slip a bolt through. this will let the motor sit down in the chassis. as far as room goes. you will have to position the engine yourself. get a small cap hei. and tuck the rad under the core support. i used a jegs universal 28x16.5 rad and it tucked nicely under the core. and you have room for a puller elctric fan doing this. for manifolds. good old ram horns fit the bill just fine and leave just enough room around the steering shaft. notch out the heater box. and that will get you home square. the rest will be pretty straight forward

The 62 motor mounts work good the ram horn manifolds need to be for the right ap. , and can get them from summit. I used hooker streetrod headers that came with the 350, but had to fab a new steering shaft.

s 10 headers may work , some of the tubes are moved over and the steering shaft goes through them.
