How would i make my speedometer work on my '98 ranger with a motor from a 68 mustang? Because the truck runs off the PCM and receives the vehicles speed information from the antilock brake system rear wheel speed sensor, How do i get the speedo to work with a carbureted motor?

The speed sensor(VSS) is on the rear axle, as you say, so the engine running the vehicle or the transmission wouldn't effect this.

The PCM won't like the fact that all the engine sensors are off-line though.

Dakota Digital makes speedometer interfaces that may be of use if getting rid of the PCM is the goal.
These can be used on the transmission if it has a speedometer hookup, so it changes the rotation of cable into electronic pulse

So where did you get your engine mounts or did you make them, if you made them how much of a headache were they to make
