If I had a small body lift then yes to the plates. The plate mounts allow for the engine to sit up higher and my current trans tunnel to floor board clearance is very tight, didn't get my transfercase up as high as I wanted because of not having a BL so that's why I'm having to clearance the trans xmember that others have had no problems clearing.

Thanks, didn't know that you knew yet (am I friends with you on FB)

Anyways as said, going to be using the money to put new rotors and pads on the front axle along with replacing the driverside unit bearing if it is going out or not, have a new timken spare already. The age is unknown but it came with the axle when I got it 4 years ago and it's a timken bearing. I don't know the age of the ball joints so I will check them at the same time. I really need to rebuild the axle but getting it 4wd is my main goal.

Also if anybody hasn't heard, if things go as planned the beginning of next year, with the tax money I'm going to be looking for a Ford Escape xlt and sell/trade the tbird for a 2wd standard or extended cab ranger with a 2.3 duratec with a manual trans and get into the mini truck scene. My buddy has one and I love driving it plus it does great on fuel and that's what I want. Also it's cheaper to mod a ranger vs a tbird.

Yep, I notice when I traded for thee t-bird that i thought I was going to use a donor, the wheel bolt pattern is not the same as the Ranger, it's a bit smaller, like a 5x4.25 or something.

That's another annoying thing about them, the odd bolt pattern. To get the mustang and ranger bolt pattern you need to do a mustang hub conversion and that can cost big money to do. The aftermarket is small and expensive for these cars.

Yup. The tbird 4.6 is a 2 valve and it only has 205hp from the factory. Problem with the 4.6 is they are stupod crazy wide and a 5.0 is a better choice in my eyes.

The rear ends are IRS and I wouldn't want that.

Shortened and painted. You can see where it had to be heated up to get it to be straight again.

Coil is telling me that it is going out, hard to start when warmed up, hard to start when cold but also if the truck has sat for two weeks, it still cranks over strong but wont give ignition unless I chased the battery over night then it will start the next morning.

Going to get a 50k volt replacement coil soon.

Need an excuse to upgrade the ignition anyways.

Plans are next year to buy the FAST fuel bolt on efi for her...yes that is two grand but I want better mileage and performance plus if I do get another engine and mod it, no need to try and retune a carb or get a custom efi tune with a factor setup.

Because I don't want all the wiring BS, change intake, etc...plus I would still need a custom tune. My goal is to build a 5.0 with at least 325 at the crank
