air horn location

Ok so ever since my accident on 4th of july it seems like I am constantly having people pull out in front of me. I swear its every 2-3 days. So I bought some air horns and there is definitely no room under the hood for these. I was wondering if anyone had air horns mounted and where they were mounted. The horn switch I am not worried about. I just want to get these mounted somewhere that's easy to install but out of the rain for the most part. I could add cover if they are mounted low. Any suggestions? Here is a pic of the horns on the bracket I made.

There are several places on the frame that are good choices, with pre-existing holes.

The only thing to keep in mind is that if you mount them that low you should point them rear-facing, so they don't collect water and debris.

Yeah I was going to do rear facing or sideways depending on location. I was hoping someone has a picture of where they mounted them. Google just shows them in the truck box in bed or under bed near spare tire. I want them more toward the front. They are plenty loud enough. I hit them with my air gun and it hurt my right ear lol. It will scare some people. Now the button I want to make a label that says something funny like "oh hell no" or "uh-oh"

I have been thinking about getting a set of air horns for my mom's Mustang, wiring them to the steering wheel button, and not telling anyone what I did.

It needs new horns, right now I have an old Ranger horn on it just to make sure my circuit worked.

I'm adding an air horn to mine too. You can still.mount them rear facing at the front of the truck. Also tilt them downward at an angle just in case water does get in them it will drip out. YouTube is a good source of information for air horn installation

I would think that mounted behind the front bumper would give you room.

Another thought, you may need to make another L bracket to mount to the existing L bracket so that they mount flush against the surface instead of hanging down, but I would think you could mount them on the bottom of the hood itself somewhere so that they nest in a low spot in the engine bay.

do some experimenting. find a place that looks good and duct tape them in place to make sure the hood closes. I have a 4.0 in my 97, and there are a few places I could put them. you might also get a way with putting them downward facing on the core support next to the radiator, but it is a tad tight there...

The only issue with some of those spots would be having bolts coming through the hood or the bumper. The bumper wouldn't be so bad but I wouldn't want bolts coming through a random spot in the hood. Also the compressor has to mount somewhat close to the horns. Instructions recommend a vertical position. Bumper might have to be where I mount them.
