What type subs can I run in my single cab it's a 86 if that helps and I'm guessing I'd have to make a custom box for behind the seats. Any input is appreciated.

im useing pioneer GM-3000 200W amp. you won't hear them comeing for 5 miles but they are pretty loud

i like to use them more as speakers than just bass but they work both ways

I just ran them right in the middle of the front seat. lol wasnt a comfy ride but it sure was loud with a 1000w amp and two 10s blasting in your face

I would get a shallow mount sub with a Class D Mono block amp. I recommend Sun Down Audio for sure.

I wanted a bazooka tube but found a rear cab mount self powered 8" sub for 200 a piece and I'm buying 2 :p

Well, I guess for simplicity's sake it would work. But, imho, they sound terrible and can be done with a little effort and less money.

The bigger question is how much room do you have/are willing to lose. Audio is one thing I have spent a lot of time around.

Crutchfield is great for warranty, but VERY expensive.

What is the rest of your equipment? Stock speakers? How are your wood working skills?

if your up for a challenge try to fiberglass a box for your single cab im gunna try it out with my next paycheck. if you are gunna wait ill post you a write up and results. it shouldn’t be outrageously hard just time consuming

to make it nice and visually apealing it will be time consuming and difficult for those with lil to no patience lol. I'f your familiar with it, it should be a weekend project easy.
