Hmm, I was thinking about grabbing the seats out of that explorer I pulled the console out of, so if those seats are the same they'll bolt right in. I kind of glanced at the mounting locations when I was pulling the console and they looked like a perfect swap. I just hope they're still there when I get a chance to go back next weekend. Plus those seats were the same color as the interior of my B2 so they would work great.
I don't think I have ever seen that style of seat in a Explorer. Hunt for a sport to get the feature for the back to flip way ahead to into the back.

If you were closer I have a set of pretty nice Eddie Bauer BII seats in my store room I would love to get rid of.

Kind of what I was thinking since the 2 door explorers would have the same type of setup for rear seat access. Although I don't really need the back seat I'd kind of like to keep the vehicle as original as possible, plus if I ever needed access to the back seat area having the wrong seats would make entry and exit a bit more challenging, although its not bad just sliding the seat forward its better if the seat back flips forward as well.

I'll keep looking around and see what I can come up with.

If you spend the time and energy to find this type of seat you will be happier...IMHO...if you are not using the rear seats then it's not such an issue...but almost guaranteed that once you can't access something from the passenger side you will find yourself in a situation that demands that you do...I've had that happen many times...

Almost as if fate is waiting for you to do something and then sends situations in to mess you up...:)

I agree, I'm going to search around and find the seats I want, even if I have to have them recovered to match. Your right if I just grab those explorer seats I'll for some reason need rear seat access the day after I install them LOL.

I'd rather do it right the first time and not have to deal with fixing a shortcut in the future. Its not like I'm in a hurry so I can take my time. Still haven't got around to fixing the paint issues on the hood yet, so no hurry there as I haven't driven it all week as its sitting in a garage waiting to have the hood sanded down and minor rust issues worked on. Probably get back over there this weekend and at least get stuff prepped.
