Thought I'd have some rubber hose to splice into, but have rigid lines to/from the transmission.

Don't want to cut one of those, but what options do I have?

The other question, seems like there's no right wrong answer. But install it before the top line or after the bottom line?

Thanks

Install 2nd trans cooler in front of radiator, like Ford does.
Remove either metal line from rad
Get metal extension for hose and metal adapter for rad, use rubber hose in and out of second cooler
Barbed fittings hold better

No cutting of metal lines needed

Which line the 2nd cooler goes on is up to you, some use the Return line from Rad to trans since built-in Rad cooler will be constant 180degF after engine warms up, so cooling ATF prior to rad entry will work but doesn't cool quite as much as after it goes thru rad.

Ron, thanks for the reply.

Any chance you or someone could link the parts you're referring to?

Thank you...

You disconnect one cooler line from radiator, screw on a barbed fitting to that metal line
Screw in another barbed to the radiator connection
So one male and one female fitting, no I don't know the size or thread, parts store should have that info

Mount 2nd trans cooler and route rubber hoses, cut to length, to each barbed fitting, use hose clamps at each end of each hose
Make sure to "zap strap" rubber hoses so they can't kink and reduce flow
So route one hose at a time before cutting it
