Looking to swap gears in a stock 1986 front axle. Has 345 gears now, and I found an 8.8 rear end with 410s for the back. Ideas?

I'm guessing it's probably a DANA-28 front? I have a complete D-28 front with 4.10 gears, extended arms and a locker that I've tried to sell a couple times. Also have an open D-28 with 4.10 gears.

Basically Lil Blue Ford's post is your best bet. There might be some floating around out there, but new stuff for that Dana 28 is getting real hard to come by.

Honestly it's easier used anyways, just pull the old pumpkin, and put the 4.10 one in.

4.10's are really hard to find in a D28... or D35 for that matter... but it seems that they are found most commonly in early Bronco II's with auto transmission... especially those with the A4LD. Like 85, 86. Otherwise it's just a crap shoot, check every one you see in the junkyard.
